Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RecordCV, operated by Richad Ševela ("RecordCV", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

1. The Service

RecordCV is a software service that helps users create, edit, and export CVs using voice input, AI-assisted drafting, templates, and related tools. Features and limits may vary by plan.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes;
• upload content you do not have the right to use;
• attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service;
• circumvent usage limits, billing controls, or security measures;
• use the Service to generate misleading, defamatory, or discriminatory content.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit, including CV text, recordings, and uploads. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, and display your content solely to provide and improve the Service.

You represent that you have the necessary rights to submit your content and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

5. AI-generated content

The Service uses automated systems to transcribe speech and draft CV content. Outputs may contain errors or omissions. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all content before use. RecordCV does not guarantee hiring outcomes or factual accuracy of generated text.

6. Plans, billing, and minutes

Paid plans, recording-minute allowances, import limits, and pricing are described on our website and may change with notice where required. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

You may cancel a subscription at any time through your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and stops further charges. Refunds are not provided for partial periods or unused time, except where mandatory Austrian or European Union consumer law requires otherwise (including applicable withdrawal rights under the Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetz). Taxes may apply depending on your location.

7. Our intellectual property

The Service, including software, branding, templates, and design, is owned by Richad Ševela or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or proprietary materials except as needed to use the Service.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Richad Ševela shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 100 if you use a free plan.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, but provisions that by nature should survive will remain in effect.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-product notice where required by law.

11. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you use the Service as a business, the courts of Burgenland, Austria have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you benefit from mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence and may bring claims in the courts there.
